Rules

  • This is a team participation hackathon. You can have minimum 2 and maximum 4 members in your team.
  • You can either invite your friends to form a team or you can request other teams to add you as a member.
  • Registrations for the hackathon will open on December 22 and close on January 22, 2026 at 11:59 PM IST (Asia/Kolkata).
  • The problem statements will be unveiled on January 02, 2026, marking the official start of the hackathon. Participants may work on their solutions only during the designated hackathon period. The final deadline to submit solutions is January 22, 2026 at 11:59 PM IST (Asia/Kolkata).
  • This is an online hackathon, and participants may take part from any location. However, shortlisted teams will be required to be present for the final evaluation, presentations, and awards, scheduled to take place on 5th–6th February in Bengaluru, India.
  • The top three teams will win cash prizes from a total pool of ₹4,50,000 Incl GST, along with the chance to network with like-minded individuals and experts from the field. - 50% of the cash prizes will be rewarded to teams during the ceremony
  • The top 10 teams will be provided with participation certificates
  • Final Solution Submission (Mar 31, 2026) Remaining 50% of the cash prizes shall be rewarded once teams submit an end-to-end working prototype of their proposed solution.
  • Once the hackathon starts, you will get an option to submit your hack, you can submit as many times as you want, the last hack will be considered as the final submission.
  • You are expected to come up with new and innovative ideas, any idea that has been copied from somewhere will be disqualified.
  • Your hack must be developed entirely during the Hackathon duration. You may use open source libraries and other freely available systems / services such as Google Maps, Facebook Connect, Twitter feeds etc.
  • Upon submission, the intellectual property (IP) rights of the submitted solution, including the code, shall vest with the Shikshalokam team. The contributing teams and winners will be duly credited for their work. However, the solution in its entirety will be owned by the Shikshalokam team.
